All quiet so far...

Well, we had lots of clouds this morning, and that got our heating off to a slow start today. However, at 2pm most spots were beginning to approach the mid 80s.
Cold front is progressing through northern North Carolina as I am typing this. I think the chances for severe weather are diminishing this afternoon, but still, a couple of stronger storms are possible as the actual front moves through later.
The wedge will set up later tonight through tomorrow. The models are struggling a bit trying to get a handle on how exactly the wedge will set up and where precipitation will fall tomorrow. The NAM paints a very wet scenario for most of our area tomorrow, while the GFS keeps most of the rain to our south. Either solution could be correct, but I am still leaning toward a damp day tomorrow with period of rain, especially in the morning.
As for temps, the midday model runs have come in warmer with mainly mid to upper 70s tomorrow. The NGM even has a high in CLT tomorrow of 80. However, I will stay the course here and stick with my going forecast of 73 for tomorrow.
The weather Sunday and Monday looks great with good amounts of sun, highs in the 80s, and very comfortable humidity values. Enjoy! I can get into this kind of mid-August weather!
