Showers and storms.....

A frontal boundary is dropping into the region today, and it will stall out through the weekend. This will mean a good coverage of showers and storms over the next few days.

Another hot day today across the region with highs in the mid 90s. Heat index values will likely meet or exceed 100 at this this afternoon. A few storms will also fire with the daytime heating.

A cold front will begin to near the region tomorrow and increase the coverage of showers and storms. Friday looks pretty unsettled as the front actually moves through.

Over the weekend, the front will stall out just to our south. Highs will be in the 80s, but with the close proximity of the front, the chance of some showers and storms needs to be maintained.

An approaching cold front will really ramp up the shower and storm chances Thursday and Friday, and then cooler temps will follow that front over the weekend as it stalls out over South Carolina. However, it appears some clouds and maybe some showers could linger as the weekend unfolds.

The rain chances look lower tomorrow, but then they will ramp back up again later this week as a cold front nears. Thursday and Friday look pretty unsettled, and then some drier air looks to try and slip in here from the north later this weekend.
