Holiday weekend weather

>> Wednesday, November 22, 2017

We have arrived at what is typically the busiest travel day of the year, and most of the Lower 48 is facing pretty good weather overall. The Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, and Tennessee Valley are having relatively cool weather today, while the western and southwestern US is generally mild.

Some rain and interior Northeast snow is moving through the Northeast through the first half of today, and the Pacific Northwest will continue to have a couple of storm systems to deal with today and through the weekend. Aside from those areas, Florida will have rain at times Thanksgiving into Friday, and the coastal Carolinas could pick up a little of that rain later Friday. Most of the Lower 48 is in good shape.

For our area, nice weather has settled back in with highs in the upper 50s today with plenty of sun. Look for lower 50s for Thanksgiving, upper 50s Friday, lower 60s Saturday, and then cooler again Sunday and Monday.

The forecast looks dry for our area for the next week or so.

Be sure and check out today's video for lots of information.

Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
