Weekend changes...

>> Friday, March 18, 2011

Had to make some fairly significant adjustments to the weekend forecast this morning. Our cold front will likely move in 12-15 hours earlier than previously expected, and because of that, I really had to shave some degrees off of our high temp forecast tomorrow. So, after lower 80s today with near record highs, probably mid 70s tomorrow around CLT and around 70 for the Triad.

Sunday is looking fairly chilly...probably a lot of 50s for the Piedmont for highs....and lots of clouds. A few showers are looking possible as well...especially around I-40 and points north.

We return to the 70s early next work week before a system moves through Wednesday into Thursday. Behind that system, I am still expecting a pretty significant push of cooler air to end the week.

Super Full Moon...

Tomorrow's full moon will be the closest it has been to Earth in 18 years. The moon will appear 14% larger and 30% brighter than normal. Check it out on the eastern horizon Saturday evening.

Matt,
I suppose the cold snap toward end of next week would be the last one for the season. Now, it would be interesting if the cold also brings some snow : )

Definitely getting late in the season. That would be interesting!
