Some mainly light precip will move through today. Could be some sleet pellets or snow flakes mixed in with the rain drops. This has caused lots of problems up in the mountains, but it should not be a big deal in the Piedmont.
Lots of upper level energy will cruise overhead over the next few days, and there is a chance of some passing snow showers or flurries at times tomorrow and especially into Tuesday.
GFS takes our system late in the week well north of us...Euro still show winter weather potential with it.
Just wanted to post a quick update prior to leaving for church. Have a great Sunday...

It's snowing here in Faith! First flakes I've seen this winter! :D
It snowed in lawndale this morning at my house for about 25-30 min. the flakes started small then got big! i am hoping for a snow storm to come through this winter and see some snow accumulaiton. Do you see that in the near future??
Thanks
Hey matthew... how is the upper level disturbance looking for tomorrow into tuesday? is our snow chances high?
Glad some folks saw some flakes.
Chances look to be increasing for someone in the Piedmont to see some accumulating snow Over the next 48 hours.
Matt,
I was watching the Weather Channel and they keep showing some snow for Monday-accumulation. Also, yall do to-i dont no about accumulating for Monday but could this happen for Lawndale (upper cleveland county)?
Thanks
I don't have any idea what any other forecasters or forecast outlets are going with in their formal forecasts. I think some snow showers will move across tomorrow, and some spots might pick up a small accumulation...most likely the farther north you are in the state. A better potential for somewhere in the Piedmont might be Monday night into Tuesday. We will see....

Let's see what tonight's model runs bring, and I will put out more in-depth ideas in the morning...
