Quiet weather...

Above is today's edition of the Carolina Weather Video.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day. I had a great weekend with the family. Saturday we went and spent some time at a little water park at a local YMCA....kids had a great time (and their dad did too). Yesterday, I was awakened by a rousing rendition of "Happy Father's Day To You" and served breakfast in bed. Just a terrific Father's Day and weekend.
In terms of the weather, we are on the 'good' side of a stationary front that is draped from the Midwest down into Tennessee and Georgia. The Carolinas will enjoy lower level of humidity the next couple of days with Piedmont highs mainly in the upper 80s. Today and tomorrow will feature lots of sunshine as well.
Meanwhile, the southern Plains and the Lower Mississippi Valley will bake in the heat and humidity with highs near 100 in many spots and stifling levels of humidity.
We will see humidity levels creep back up late this week, and I will bring back in scattered storm chances by Friday and Saturday.
