Unsettled weather

>> Monday, May 04, 2009

Above is today's edition of the Carolina Weather Video.

A tornado warning was issued for Rockingham county in the Triad viewing area yesterday evening, and some damage occurred. A NWS team will survey the damage today.

A disturbance will cruise through the region this morning, and some scattered showers and a few storms will be possible with that. Then, another disturbance will move through the region later this afternoon and tonight. I expect a pretty healthy round of rain and storms with that second disturbance, especially this evening and tonight.

Just like we have seen the past couple of days, a few of the storms could be locally strong to severe. We will keep an eye on it.

Tomorrow's forecast is tricky. The best chance of showers and storms will likely slide to around the I-95 corridor, but I will mention isolated storms in the forecast for the Triad and Charlotte zones.

Another disturbance will bring a round of showers and storms Wednesday.

At this point, the weekend looks warm and mainly dry.

Be sure and scroll down and see the raw video from inside the Dallas Cowboys practice facility as a microburst hit Saturday.
