Above is today's edition of the Carolina Weather Video.
It was a foggy, fairly chilly (temps in the 40s) start to our day today with visibilities less than a quarter mile in many instances. However, sunshine is working on the fog this morning, and we will get to enjoy a fantastic day with lots of sunshine and highs in the low to mid 70s. Humidity values will be low, so this is a great day to open up some windows and let some fresh air in.
Tomorrow will also be very nice with a partly cloudy sky and highs in the mid 70s.
A southeasterly flow will increase the moisture around here, and by Thursday, I will bring back in the chance of some scattered PM showers and storms. Same deal on Friday.
Over the weekend, a cold front will approach and enhance the chance of scattered showers and storms....especially Sunday. Highs will warm back up into the lower side of the 80s Friday into the weekend as well.
Monday is interesting...almost all modeling is indicating a strong wedge developing...in fact, some modeling has us struggling to make it to 50 degrees Monday afternoon! I have not gone that extreme yet, but I have put highs Monday in the 60s. Keep in mind Monday might turn out to be a chilly, rainy day.
Also, for the All-star event out at Lowe's Motor Speedway Saturday evening, I can't rule out a passing shower or storm, but I don't expect a wash-out. Temps should be in the 70s for most of the evening.
