Above is today's edition of the Carolina Weather Video.

Cooler temps today with highs in the low to possibly mid 70s.

Still trying to parse out the specifics of our upcoming storm system. With this forecast package, I continue to go with the idea of rain chances settling in tomorrow night and lasting off and on through Friday....even some showers possible Saturday.

Our in-house modeling brings a nasty line of storms into the mountains during the pre-dawn hours Thursday....I am discounting that scenario for the time being. To me, this has the look of a stratiform rain event.

Today, I am speaking to a group of 3-5 graders out at Tuckaseegee Elementary School in Charlotte....should be a good time!

Above is today's edition of the Carolina Weather Video.

Good Monday to you! Warm, nice weather today with highs in the lower 80s. A back-door cold front slips through tonight, and highs tomorrow will be about 10 degrees or so cooler than what we will see today.

A nice cut-off low will develop over the Southeast to end the work week, and our rain chances are looking good from Wednesday night into Friday. Some nice rain totals are possible.

Reminder...check the links on the right for some fall foliage info....

Very chilly temps to start the day today. A Frost Advisory was hoisted to much of the North Carolina mountains, and in fact, a few of the more protected valleys briefly dipped below the freezing mark.

Excellent weather will continue all weekend with lots of sun, comfortable afternoons, and fairly chilly morning. The weather will also be excellent in the mountains if you want to head up there and check out some of the early season fall foliage.

See the video for a more detailed look at the next 10 days or so as well as fall foliage.

Fantastic Autumn weather has settled in. See the Carolina Weather Video below for a look at the early season fall foliage in the Carolinas as well as the normal look at our weather.

Lows were in the 40s in the Piedmont this morning while some higher elevations in the mountains dipped into the 30s. We will see brilliant sunshine all day with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

Tonight, and probably tomorrow night, we will drop into the 40s again.

The forecast will remain dry through the next seven days with highs mainly in the 70s and lows after Saturday morning in the low to mid 50s.
