Above is today's edition of the Carolina Weather Video.
Cooler temps today with highs in the low to possibly mid 70s.
Still trying to parse out the specifics of our upcoming storm system. With this forecast package, I continue to go with the idea of rain chances settling in tomorrow night and lasting off and on through Friday....even some showers possible Saturday.
Our in-house modeling brings a nasty line of storms into the mountains during the pre-dawn hours Thursday....I am discounting that scenario for the time being. To me, this has the look of a stratiform rain event.
Today, I am speaking to a group of 3-5 graders out at Tuckaseegee Elementary School in Charlotte....should be a good time!

whats a stratiform rain event
Means a stable airmass....rains, but no storms. That might change though....
