Active storm track...

Three systems will impact our region this week. Some bullet-points...

- System 1 is moving through today bringing periods of rain. Some spots are picking up a good soaking, and it's a chilly, wet Christmas Eve.

- System 2 will be a dynamic one and bring anything from severe weather to a while Christmas for parts of the southern Plains, Ozarks, and Mississippi Valley.

I am very concerned about the severe weather aspect of this system across parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, western Florida, and Georgia later tomorrow. All modes of severe weather look possible, and the possibility of a significant tornado outbreak is there.

That system will spread rain into the Carolinas by Tuesday night and continue through Wednesday. A severe weather threat will likely develop into the Carolinas by Wednesday, especially along and to the south and east of I-85. How significant that severe weather threat is for the Carolinas will depend on how much instability can creep up our way.

- System 3 will roll through Saturday. It is actually taking a favorable track for some western Carolina wintry weather, but at the moment, lack of cold air could be a problem for those outside the mountains.

I hope you all have a wonderful, safe, blessed Christmas.
