Happy Fourth!

We will have hot, humid conditions across the region today with highs in the low to mid 90s, and as we head through this afternoon and evening, look for a scattering of showers and storms to fire off. The greatest coverage of storms will likely run from mid afternoon through early evening. While the coverage will be scattered, I expect some of the region's fireworks displays will have some issues dodging the storms.

The weather all week looks very typical for July....fairly hot and humid with a daily chance of scattered storms. Highs most afternoons should range from the upper 80s to the lower 90s.

The coverage of storms might be a little higher around Wednesday as a wavy frontal boundary sags in here from the north, but that is really sort of splitting hairs at this point.

Tropics...

All is pretty quiet. There's a tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea, but nothing threatening.
