Saturday morning...

Some pretty big storms rolled into the region last night, and a number of warnings were required. Several reports of 1" hail came in, and a few wind damage reports were received as well.

Below is a radar image from this morning....

The complex of showers and storms over Illinois and Indiana this morning will move southeast and into the Carolinas late today and this evening. This is going to be one of those convective complexes that will likely impact a lot of places.

Severe weather is a likelihood for parts of the region as the convective complex rolls through. The main threats will be damaging winds and large hail, but I can't rule out a brief tornado or two. Of course, some locally heavy rain and vivid lightning is also possible.
