Milder afternoon temps

>> Monday, November 08, 2010

It was another frosty start to our day on this Monday with lows in the Piedmont in the upper 20s to lower 30s. However, some warmer afternoon temps are on the way, and highs today will top out in the mid 60s for most.

Lows tonight will still be chilly, but we should be above the frost and freeze range in most spots with lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s. We will continue the modifying trend in the high temp department tomorrow with highs around 70 or so under a sunny sky.

The weather right through the rest of the week and even into the weekend looks to be rather docile. We will see another area of high pressure build from eastern Canada down the eastern side of the mountains later this week, but all it will do this time around is knock our highs back down into the 60s. I still expect lots of sun through the week.

Our next significant storm system will likely not move in until Monday or even Tuesday of next week.

Tropics...

Tomas is no longer a classified system, and the Atlantic Basin is quiet today.

Matt,
Would you say we will be back to cold sometime next week?
