Active storm track continues...

>> Tuesday, March 31, 2009

Above is today's edition of the Carolina Weather Video.

Clouds are rolling into the region today with highs in the 60s in advance of our next storm system. We remain in a very active storm track, and we will see three separate system roll through between now and Monday.

Rain chances will arrive after midnight tonight and be with us through at least tomorrow morning. A few rumbles of thunder are possible, but the severe weather threat tonight and tomorrow looks quite low.

For Thursday, a pop up shower or storm can't be ruled out, but overall a fairly quiet day around here looks on tap. Meanwhile, a big outbreak of severe weather looks possible later Thursday into Thursday evening in the Deep South and Tennessee Valley.

By later Thursday night into Friday morning, those shower and storm chances will roll in here. We will have to monitor for severe weather chances.

Saturday looks fantastic with lots of sun and highs in the lower 70s. We will probably be able to squeeze in a mainly dry Sunday before another round of showers and storms moves through Monday.

Still no baby as of this morning. However, my wife says the contractions are beginning to kick into gear, and she felt horrible all day yesterday. So, it is possible that we are getting close. We will see!
