Beautiful Weather for us....Paloma in the Caribbean
>> Thursday, November 06, 2008
Fantastic weather will unfold for us today and tomorrow with highs in the 70s and lots of sun. Enjoy!
A cold front will sweep through late tomorrow night into Saturday morning. Some showers are possible as the front pushes through, and then cooler temps filter in for the weekend.
The pattern next week still looks like an active and rather cool one. One system will move through Tuesday and Tuesday night and another will move through Friday and Saturday.
Paloma became a tropical storm with the 4am advisory this morning, and the system should steadily strengthen over the next couple of days. Paloma stands a good chance of becoming a hurricane by the weekend.
There remain two options with the eventual track of Paloma...the same options I outlined in yesterday morning's post. One option is the system will eventually turn northeastward and move across Cuba into the western Atlantic by late around Monday. The second option is that the trough over the eastern US this weekend does not pick up Paloma, and the system, or at least part of it, is left to meander in the western Caribbean. We shall see....
