Tropics....Interesting weather week in the Carolinas
>> Monday, September 22, 2008
Sure looks like we will see our next tropical system soon in the Atlantic Basin. Here is today's edition of my Tropical Weather Video...see it for lots of details.
We will enjoy excellent weather through Wednesday with highs today close to 80 and highs tomorrow and Wednesday in the mid 70s for most. Lows will be in the 50s. Autumn officially arrives at 11:44am, and it will feel like it over the next few days.
An area of low pressure will develop off of the coast today and tomorrow, and the pressure gradient between it and a high pressure over the New England states will make for breezy conditions Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
That coastal low will drift inland later in the week, and we could see some rainy conditions later Thursday through Friday.
I also think we could see a good push of cooler weather later NEXT week, and the overall theme in the weather pattern seems to support additional shots of colder air around the eastern US through the beginning of October.
