Above is a satellite image I snagged early this evening. That is a big, sprawling low pressure area out in the Atlantic Ocean, and it has caused lots of rough seas and squally weather. In fact, the Carnival Miracle, set to go out of New York this afternoon, was delayed a bit due to those rough conditions on its way into New York. Passengers had to board the ship much later than usual due to the delay. It will be a rough ride for those folks tonight as they sail to Bermuda. I am sure there are lots of other ships battling those foul conditions as well. Just another one of those interesting facets of weather....a low pressure off of the coast that most folks think nothing about is undoubtedly affecting thousands upon thousands of people in one way or another.

Around here, wow! What a fantastic day we just had....highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s with very low humidity values. Tomorrow we will surge into the 80s with lots of sun again. I also need to mention that for the Triad and Charlotte regions, Friday will be our first Air Quality Action Day of the year. I can't remember having one this early in the season before.

Still looks like a chance of showers and some storms later Saturday.
