Matt, is it possible the NAM and GFS are overdoing the warm nose aloft? If I'm right, the ECMWF, CMC, and UKMET keep the warm nose confined to the OBX given the arctic air.

Warm nose did in fact make it well inland...
After 11 hours of sleet and about an inch of sleet accumulation,it took about 3 hours to fully switch over to snow for about 4 hours. Ended with about 4" on the pamlico sound. Waiting to see if cold and storms return in a few weeks.
