November is here....

November has arrived, and along with it will come a chilly week. Today will be the warmest day all week, and we are only talking about highs this afternoon in the lower 60s at most for the Piedmont.
A classic cold air damming event will unfold this week. Cold high pressure will develop from the Great Lakes into the New England states. That high will then wedge down into our region tomorrow through Thursday. Clouds will begin to roll in tonight and tomorrow, and by Wednesday, the chance of a chilly rain will arrive. Those rain chances will continue through Thursday, and some showers might even linger into Friday.
Highs tomorrow will be in the mid to upper 50s, then with the clouds and rain Wednesday and Thursday, it will be low to mid 50s at most....some places might struggle to even hit 50 Wednesday or Thursday.
Behind the storm system, the upcoming weekend looks dry with lots of sun but highs below average and a light freeze possible by Sunday morning.
Tomas...
Tomas is really struggling in the eastern Caribbean Sea today. The convection is displaced to the east of the center, further weakening is quite possible today.
Shear should relax on the system into mid-week, and at that point, some strengthening could occur. Eventually, Tomas could threaten the northern Caribbean.
How 'bout my Dawgs?! 7-2 now headed into the bye....I'll take it!
