Scattered storms....

>> Thursday, July 30, 2009

Above is today's edition of the Carolina Weather Video.

We remain in a warm and muggy airmass here in the Carolinas. The result will be more scattered showers and storms today with highs in the upper 80s for most.

Another disturbance and a cold front will approach tomorrow and give the region a pretty good coverage of showers and storms with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

That next front will stall our near the area over the weekend, so we will need to continue to mention the chance of some scattered mainly afternoon storms for both Saturday and Sunday.

Not much change as we head through next week with at least some chance of some showers and storms on a daily basis and highs in the upper 80s to near 90.

Big storms rolled into the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex this morning....I grabbed this radar image as the storms were approaching Fort Worth. Notice how the anvils of the storms show up nicely on this 3D perspective....
