Dog Days....

Yep, it is that time of year again. At some point every summer we get into this pattern of 90s for highs for the foreseeable future and muggy conditions. It is here. My 7-day forecast has highs in the low to mid 90s each day through next Wednesday with most lows in the lower 70s.
Today and tomorrow we will have some scattered afternoon thunderstorms, but after that, rain chances look pretty slim through mid-week next week.
Let's take a look at the upcoming weekend. We are getting closer to the end of summer for students, and a lot of folks will likely be doing some traveling.
If you are heading to the Carolina coast, Friday could feature a few showers and storms, but Saturday and Sunday look warm, humid, and mainly rain-free.
Up in the mountains, same type of deal....a few storms possible Friday, but mainly dry Saturday and Sunday with weekend highs in the mountains in the 80s.
Around here, a few storms that fire this afternoon could push severe limits with damaging winds being the primary severe weather threat. Keep it tuned to News 14 Carolina if the weather gets active....

What do you think about severe weather for tomorrow, and the threats for tomorrow?
There will be a few more dynamics in play tomorrow compared to today, and certainly some severe weather seems possible. At this point, I am not envisioning a HUGE severe weather outbreak, but we will see.
Winds and some hail look to be the main threats....tornado threat, while not completely absent, look fairly low.
with the storms developing now, do you expect storms to develop behind them and the same areas get hit again tonight?
It is tough to say....seems like most of the action will want to shift east, but I wouldn't but against any back building at this point....
Is thursday going to be pretty much a carbon copy of today?
Tough to day....activity will probably have a little more teeth than today.
