I don't know about you, but I have to keep reminding myself that this is March. A Summer-like pattern will continue this week across the region, and that will mean more highs and lows well above average.

We will also continue to have the chance of some mainly afternoon and evening scattered showers and storms on a daily basis this week.

If you look at the upper level map across the Lower 48 this week, the dominant weather feature will be a big cut-off upper level lows that is currently forming in the southern Plains. This system will be an extremely fact, it probably won't move into our region until Saturday!

This system will produce severe weather and flooding this week as it slowly crawls from the southern Plains into the Lower Mississippi Valley.

Eventually, that system probably brings us a healthy round of rain and storms this weekend.
