Wedge for Thursday.... Spring-like weekend ahead...
Lots of ground covered in today's video..... take a look:
I just had an interesting read about the "Sudden Stratospheric Warming Event" which may be taking place. I was just curious what your thoughts might be on that. Apparently we had something similar in 1985, but I don't remember that.
@DoubleJ: I read similar articles on that on Accuweather.com site. According to them, that phanomenon causes all the arctic air built up in Canada and North Pole to start bleeding southward (toward us) which they are saying we might turn much colder for second half of this month into February. I thought that's pretty interesting. - TK
TK is correct..... the question is, where does that colder air head? It might not wind up in our part of the world, but a SSW event does indicate it is on the move.

ReplyDeleteI also read that the bulk of the cold air is in Russia, though some is in Canada. It definitely will be interesting to see how this plays out.
