Scattered storms today...

>> Tuesday, August 14, 2012

Here is today's edition of the video..... give it a look:

A cold front is approaching, and that front will kick off some scattered showers and storms, especially this afternoon and evening. Highs will head toward the upper 80s with some low 90s today.

A few showers and storms could linger tomorrow, and then Thursday looks dry.

A pretty deep trough for this time of year will swing into the eastern US this weekend. This trough will drive a cold front through our area Saturday. Out ahead and near the front, shower and storm chances will return later Friday and Saturday. Following the front, some cooler and drier air will try to settle in for early next week.

When I see the words "cooler", it is permission to ask what folks have been wondering: What will this winter bring for North Carolina?

Haha.... I hear ya, Carol. Almost that time of year to work on some Winter ideas, but I am not there yet!
