Severe weather potential today...

>> Friday, June 01, 2012

A potent storm system continues to swing into the region today. Showers and storms highlight the forecast, and we will likely wind up with a broken line of storms moving through from mid-afternoon into early evening from west to east.

See the video above... I run down some of the various severe weather parameters in play today.

The basic idea is that damaging winds are our primary severe weather threat. However, isolated tornadoes can't be ruled out, nor can some hail.

This also means that weather could be an issue for the college baseball regionals across the region today. However, the weather looks great starting tomorrow.

Delightful weather will then unfold through the weekend. Highs tomorrow should be in the 70s with low humidity.
