Scattered storms today...

>> Saturday, May 14, 2011

Looks like a good number of scattered storms will fire off later today. A soupy airmass is still in place, and we will have a couple of frontal boundaries meandering around the region. Like we have seen the past couple of days, any storms that form could produce damaging winds and/ or large hail.

Matt,
What are your thoughts as for rest of this month is concerned? Are we going to continue with this wet and dry for every 3-4 days pattern? How about heat - would you say that is going to increase as we near towards summer?

It looks like we are in a slow-moving pattern for much of this month...i.e., slow-moving storm systems. Like last week, it was very warm and muggy with daily storm chances. Much of this week will be cooler with rain at times the first few days of the week. Much warmer again this weekend into early next week.
