Milder weather set to move in...

>> Wednesday, March 16, 2011

Here is today's edition of the Carolina Weather Video. After a chilly day yesterday, a big warm-up begins today and culminates with highs around 80 Friday afternoon. Down the road, some potential changes as next week unfolds. Check out the video for possibilities....

After a chilly day yesterday, where it was a struggle to even make it to the upper 40s and lower 50s, it will turn out much milder today with highs in the mid 60s. Even warmer conditions are on tap tomorrow through Saturday. Highs tomorrow will be close to 70....then close to 80 Friday!

Looks like a brief wedging event will settle in Sunday and Monday, returning highs to the 60s. However, we look to be right back up into the upper 70s or so for Tuesday. While I can't rule out a brief shower Sunday night or Monday, it will likely be later next Wednesday before our next good rain chance arrives.

NAO...

The NAO is plunging into the negative category, and it is a certainty that some very cold air will invade the Great Lakes and Northeast next week. However, what is not certain is how far south that push of cold air will make it. If it does make it here, it will be after our mid-week system next week.
