Quick Sunday morning hit...

Fantastic day will unfold today with highs in the 70s and some increasing clouds.

Our next system will sweep through late tonight into tomorrow morning. I expect we will see a band of showers and thunderstorms roll through during that time frame.

Our atmosphere it obviously quite stable right now, however we will have a nice southerly flow in here all day and evening, and dewpoints should at least be well up into the 50s by later tonight.

Both the NAM and GFS spit out some pretty decent instability values as the system approaches, enough so that I would certainly expect some thunderstorms around. And I will say that I cannot rule out a couple of strong to severe storms later tonight into tomorrow morning. We will watch it closely.

Much colder air will flow in here tomorrow, and we will enter the period of frost and freeze concerns beginning Tuesday morning. Hopefully wind will help us out some that morning, but that might not be the case by Wednesday morning. More on this later....

Time for cinnamon rolls and church.....

i live northwest of jefferson and i was wondering how much snow we will get

It will all depend on small scale terrain features as is typically the case in a northwest flow event, but around Jefferson 1-4"...much more on the northwestern facing slopes.
