Wet Monday...

As many know, and as you can tell from my twitter posts over the weekend, I am a huge Mississippi State fan. I am very proud of my Bulldogs for pulling out a nail-biter in the SEC Championship game yesterday against Tennessee. You could really tell the fatigue of playing four games in four days was catching up to the Bulldogs, but they just gritted it out and found a way to win. I love how this team plays. SEC Champs, and now on to the NCAA tourney! No rest for the weary though as State has to head all of the way to Portland for a game Thursday against Washington.

Also over the weekend, I had the privilege of being the emcee for the Charlotte Kidney Walk. The weather was obviously not the best, but there was a very nice turnout, and the event was a big success. A big thank you to those of you who came out and those who supported the cause through donations...especially tough in these economic times. At the bottom of this post are a few pictures of News 14 Carolina folks involved with the event. Thanks to Kristen Reed for getting me those photos.

Another quick note, donations are obviously still welcome, and a good way to do that is by going to the the National Kidney Foundation's website by clicking here.

In terms of the weather, we have one more rainy, dreary day today before this pattern breaks. Sunshine will try to work in tomorrow with highs back into the low to mid 60s. By Wednesday, we will see lots of sun with highs in the upper 60s to even lower 70s in spots.

A cold front drops through Thursday and will being some shower chances, and then we will see a push of chillier air Friday and Saturday behind the front.

Hey I was just wondering what you thought of the 12Z run of the GFS on FRI AND SAT 27-29.

SNOW?

I would not put a lot of stock in a single run of a model. There have been some fairly consistent indications of a good shot of cold air near or just after that time, but I wouldn't hold out hope for snow right now.

SNOW at this late in the season!? You've got to be kidding?! Maybe in New York but not in North Carolina!
