Watching storm potential....

>> Tuesday, January 06, 2009

We will need to keep an eye on the thunderstorm potential tonight. While I don't think we will see a big severe weather outbreak, I do think a few strong to severe storms are possible near and right along the wedge front. Where that sets up will be key to watch. If you have a NOAA Weather Radio, go ahead and leave it on the 'alert' position tonight just to be on the safe side.

Why is is so windy out there!??! I can't sleep! Oh and, this popped up on the NWS forecast last night: Tonight: A slight chance of rain showers, mixing with snow after 10pm, then gradually ending. Partly cloudy, with a low around 35. West wind between 11 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

P.S. Thanks for that explanation yesterday, I think I understood it.

The low level winds were mainly due to the approaching storm system.
