Quite a few computer models are now indicating the subtropical high to the north of Helene will re-build next week and send the hurricane on a path that could threaten the east coast of the US. That possibility has always existed in my mind, but it did seem pretty unlikely.

Too early for any knee-jerk reactions, but it is interesting nonetheless.

Also looks like it slow down the speed of the storm for a bit. Like it gets in an area of weak steering currents, then picks up steam again.

Yep...hits the weakness in the high before it decides what it will do.
